Lonnie found her passion for food at 19 years old when she entered the US Navy as a cook. She quickly moved on to co-run the officers galley and living quarters aboard the USS Frank Cable and spent those years travelling the Pacific and broadening her knowledge in worldly cuisine. With visits to Mexico and Costa Rica, she discovered a true passion for the fresh, pure flavors of Latin cuisine. While continuing to work in the restaurant industry throughout, she attended Pace University in Pleasantville and Manhattan, NY, receiving a bachelors degree in business management with a focus on Latin America. Today, Lonnie raises two daughters with their father, in Chestertown, NY and has opened The Bullhouse with hopes of continuing to expand and explore her love for food and good company.
